Exactly, he was an average player, but he did show some promise as well (not all the time, but here and there). I didn't think he'd have a decent start at Blackburn, but you guys do have Big Sam, so anything is possible with him Good luck to Steven, and hopefully he'll be able to continue his progress. |

Thanks for the responses.
Nzonzi has started well at Blackburn but you must know a few things.
He is playing a defensive midfield role in which he does not have to pass the ball much. He tackles/heads and quickly offloads a short pass. Therefore, he is not being tested as a passer.
Secondly, Blackburn play a physical game. Our midfield do not create much, so Nzonzi's lack of technical skill is not exposed.
In the end, I believe that the Premier League is overrated - and Nzonzi's relative success proves it. As long as you are big, strong, fast - you stand a good chance of being useful in a lesser Premier League team. The English game, sadly, is much to do with physicality.
However, he is a HUGE improvement on our former defensive midfielder, Aaron Mokoena. I don't know if you know much about the South Africa captain - but he is a TERRIBLE player. |

N'Zonzi is having an easy time then!
I'm fully aware of who Mokoena is, but him being terrible? That can't be - I mean he's not South Africa's captain for nothing. I'll admit though, I don't watch Blackburn often on the telly Surely he had a few good performances for you guys though? |

Oh yes, Mokoena is very bad!
He is South Africa's captain - but you must remember that South Africa are a team that sit near Burkino Faso and Uzbekistan in the FIFA World rankings.
It is bizarre that Mokoena has had such a successful career. He has very little talent. He was so bad in defence that Blackburn did not trust him in that position. They played him in defensive midfield - and even there, he treated the ball like a live bomb. Steven Nzonzi has already proven himself a better midfielder.
Football is scattered with inexplicable success stories. How has Sven Goran Eriksson had so many huge jobs when he is terrible? How did Djimi Traore play in a Champions League winning team.
Professional football is a disturbing world if you think about it! |

N'Zonzi était tellement mauvais la saison dernière qu'il s'est payé des qualités dans le duty free en allant en Angleterre .... |

Premier but il me semble en championnat de N'Zonzi sous les couleurs de Blackburn. Il a ouvert le score pour les Rovers à l'Emirates Stadium d'Arsenal.
Résultat final : 6-2 pour les Gunners |
